Shop murals - Charlie Gadeken IMG_2066 (1).jpg
"Giant Pacific Octopus""Giant Pacific Octopus" was painted on the very last days of 2020. Immersing in creativity during these days at the Box Shop felt to be a good omen for better days. It was painted with latex and paintbrush. At the Box Shop the octopus is living deep among the snags of bent metal and ocean freight containers, receding and advancing with the tides of Hunter's Point, and moving between the filtered light and darkness of the sea.
