Nathan Richard Phelps

I'm primarily a mural artist living and working in San Francisco. My subject matter is generally the invisible realm of consciousness I work to bring out into the world. What I paint is almost never what I intuit, but in the attempt to express these visions I'm taken down a path which has become a genre-less body of work that is specifically and uniquely my own. Over time I have cultivated an art style which I hope is considered in the long tradition of artists who brought a different way of seeing into the world.

"Black Fuchsia"

The painting I made for the Box Shop was a spontaneous piece I conceived of on the spot after picking out some paint I had on hand. The form is something I've been playing around with for a while and I wanted to challenge myself to make black and pink work together with a little extra challenge of working in a fluorescent.
