"Riki"
In 9 months the world came together and made a vaccine for covid-19, because it effects the economy. When aids ravaged the queer community our society literally said fuck’em. This is a painting for my aunt Riki. She passed from AIDS in the early 2000s. The upside down triangle representative of the AIDS community sits alone in a dark forest. A river representative of life continuing to flow through this forest and society continues to not care.
