This free event is a unique opportunity to explore San Francisco’s last industrial arts makerspace and meet two of our extraordinary artists:
Zulu Heru - Whispers of Waste – sculptor, engineer, and Artist. Currently building; Whispers of Waste
Dana Albany – visionary mixed-media artist known for her iconic Burning Man pieces.

Colossal structures are created at The Box Shop. Some become treasured public art, like Entwined Meadow - an installation in Golden Gate Park in the winters of 2020-2024. We’re also a Burning Man arts community hub. Dozens of Playa sculptures and art cars are built at The Box Shop. Check out the space, machinery, tools, and people that make this magic possible!
