Eveline Darroch

Eveline Darroch has been a life long artist. She currently works as an IATSE Local 16 Stage Technician in San Francisco. She comes from a family of Steel makers from Pittsburgh, PA. She had learned to weld in 1984 at 14 years old. Eveline has a particular passion for integrating architecture, theater, modern technology, historic practices with immersive art experiences complete with a dash of whimsy. She has been focusing on a lost love from the 1990’s- creating stenciled street art with humor and a tone that points to our current climate. Her project prior to the Box Shop “Dinosaurs” was “The Bay” heart, a part of the 2020 SFGH Foundation Hearts in San Francisco project. The collision of historic gilding and patina effects meets the contemporary street art (stencils and spray paint) in “The Bay”. Eveline had designed the heart and invited street artist Jeremy Novy and another local artist to participate on the project with her (See article in the SFIST February 14, 2020). When not making shows happen or making art, Eveline enjoys brewing beer, making wine and cider; Collaborating with other artist; Sailing on the San Francisco Bay and in the Pacific; reading about science and physics; and she also really loves Camp Tipsy!"
