I've been a 2D artist for many years with a focus on painting, drawing, and mixed media. Regardless of the medium or style, My work tries to capture powerful, potent images that speak to the heart and soul. I am curious and enjoy delving into new aspects of art. Dance Alive Metal Art combines the thrill of venturing into the world of metal sculpture with my some of my life long passions: life drawing, dance, and gardens. I am now beginning an exploration of 3D sculpture at College of Marin...using clay, wood, plaster, casting, and many other mediums and techniques.
An artist needs to explore and discover new avenues for creative expression. My journey led me to experiment with metal art at the Box Shop. Along the way, I went to Burning Man, saw amazing monumental art, discovered my inner construction worker, fell in love with the collaborative creative process of the Flaming Lotus Girls, was blessed to find a mentor - the amazing sculptor, Dana Albany, and partner with John DeVenezia, metal artist, sculptor, and landscape designer extraordinaire. I decided I wanted to create my own sculpture garden. The sculptures would combine my love of life drawing, dance, the divine feminine, and nature. And so Dance Alive Metal Art was born. Every step has been created with love, and joy. And, yes, it’s been a blast! So I offer my creations to you...to bring a playful, uplifting spirit into your garden, home, and business. My four sculptures are made to order. I can also customize an art piece just for you.
