Mitch Bierer
I started playing around with spray paint in sewers as a kid, all the while I witnessed my grandfather painting giant murals in his small town. Fast forward 10 years or so and I find myself in school studying art via scholarships. I hunkered down and learned everything I could about art history, and art creation, and developed a eye for both absorbing art, and creating it. Post college I was lost and longing for direction, so I picked up the spray paint can again and just like my grandfather had done, I went big. Most of this work was done in abandoned buildings, which was very freeing compared to the restrictive nature of the canvas. Combining the classical approach to fine art with the freedom of street aesthetics I started to find my voice and developed a unique style.
