The Box Shop Launches a New Community Residency Program!
Afatasi, The Artist - The Box Shop’s first Community Resident
In late Spring 2021, The Box Shop kicked off a new Community Residency Program for Bayview-Hunters Point artists. Goals for the program are to provide area artists with artistic and career-enriching opportunities and support and connect with our local community.

New residents are offered a 1-month residency at the Shop that includes:
One 5x8 container studio
Access to the Shop warehouse, communal equipment, and tools
An artistic mentor to assist in completing their project
To apply to the residency program, visit our new page, fill out the application form, and tell us about your project and goals. Applicants must be a resident of the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood.
